Street lights with sensor measure air and noise

At the end of February sensors will be placed on six street lights at Brandevoort. These sensors measure air quality and noise.

On the map Locatie sensoren Brainport Smart District you can see where the sensors will be located.

The municipality of Helmond participates in this project to experiment with data collection of noise and air in a neighbourhood. The measurements are part of the project Brainport Smart District, or ‘The Next Level Neighbourhood’, which will arise north of the Railway station Brandevoort. A clean and healthy environment are importants issues in the project. Also in the Brouwhuis district some sensors will be placed

After the sensors are being placed, the live data can be seen on https://slimstestad.nl/living-lab-data/

Do you want to participate?

Then you can download the app Hexagon Geospatial  (choose Mobile alert), where you can any moment register how you experience the air and noise in your neighbourhood in Brandevoort. If necessary, you can look at Mobile Alert handleiding (in Dutch, unfortunately) for support.
